Lesson 1
#1 David (1 Samuel 17)
I’m sure most of us know the story of David and Goliath. He was a young boy, and his brothers were fighting the Philistines when he went to visit them. The battle took place in Israel.
Summarize the story in 1 Samuel 17:45-49
We learn in this story about courage and faith.David was such a courageous young boy to follow. God had guided him to do. He was the youngest of eight brothers. He was not old enough to go to war. BUT he was the most courageous one to fight Goliath with none of the soldiers from Israel
We can learn about faith because David had to have faith in God, that God would not allow any harm to him.

Lesson 2
#2 Miriam (Exodus 2)
We may all know the story of Moses and if not you’ll learn it,however there is a tale of his sister Miriam, who was also important. Can you imagine how Moses story would be different without Miriam?
When Moses was born his parents had to hide him, because the King wanted all Hebrew baby boys to be killed. After some time his family couldn’t hide him any longer. His mother have made a basket and sent him floating down the Nile river.
Miriam hid and watched the basket arrive to the daughter of pharaoh, Next Mariam came forward and asked if they would like help and for her to find a nurse (Hebrew women) From this story we can observe intelligence (ask if anyone knows this word)
She knew how and where to hide her brother. In addition we can also learn loyalty(anyone know this word?) As Miriam was loyal to her Hebrew people and her family.

Lesson 3
#3 Naaman’s Servant Girl (2 King 5)
Naaman was a strong army commander. Loved by people and his wife.He had a sickness Leporsy (small description)
One day the wife’s servant girl spoke up and said if Naaman goes to a prophet in Samaria he would be healed
So he got permission and left……(cont to summarize story)
Lesson we learn here is that the servant girl had faith. She believed that if Naaman went to Elisha he would be healed.
Another lesson is bravery.she was brave enough to speak up
Lastly compassion is she was not companionate, she would have not cared if Naaman was ever healed.

Lesson 4
#4 Boy with 5 Loaves and Fish: (John 6)
In John 6, we meet this young man. He was attending a sermon by Jesus. When the people, over 5000 of them, began to get hungry, Jesus asked His disciples where they could get food for everyone.
Simon Peter told Jesus that there was a boy there with barley loaves and fish. The disciples asked the boy for the food, and Jesus blessed it. After the blessing, all the people were able to eat until they were full, and the disciples filled 12 baskets with leftovers.
Lessons from the Boy with the Loaves and Fishes:
The main lesson from this character is generosity. This young boy could have refused, though that would not have been likely for a young person of the time. He could have kept his food to himself, but he didn’t. He shared it and allowed Jesus to perform a miracle with his lunch.
